A Better Grasp

  Here's another short, flip-the-image, two-page piece.

  1. When I first read this caption it was a little weird, imagining a son watching his mother practising for exotic dancing.
But when I put my mind into it that growing up with an exotic dancer as a mother would probably make it as normal to watch her practice, as having a ballroom dancer as a mother, and watch her practice.
After that the whole caption just fell into place for me.
    Great cap.

    Hugs and Kisses,
    Helena.

  2. And, in light of it being part of the kid's 'training' as a SoulsWitch to know how a woman moves naturally, while reducing his barriers against 'traditional roles', it really is an important part in the 'coming-of-age' process!

Thank you, darlin'! I'm glad you like it!!! ((xXx))

  3. Interesting story, the idea of soul swapping witches is a cool concept.

  4. Thank you, Zapper! I think the idea flowed from some phonetic twist I was aiming for as the Autumnal Equinox approached.

For me, the concept of gender transformations and/or equalizations occurring at/near the evenness of day & night seems a more powerful and easily exchangeable time.

    1. I love the idea of magic swapping people into each other, particularly men and women. There are certian times, dawn, sunset, midnight, and noon that I think would be magically significant. Anyway, I've been enjoying your blog!
